Clifton High School

Clifton
Wednesday, October 11th is a half-day for students! CHS will dismiss at 1:00.

Information for the week of Nov. 10 - Nov. 15

What an amazing time to be at CHS.  Congratulations go out to our senior Lizzy Duenes for placing 5th at the state cross country meet.  The halls are buzzing with excitement for our football team and their accomplishment of making the playoffs.  Our own Sheldon Dowden was named a classroom champion, which is an award that recognizes outstanding student-athletes.  We have two students signing this week to play college ball. (Hunter Harris and Jordan Woosley) We also had two students (Sheldon Dowden and Zach Nichols) who put on a exhibition CX debate round at the Capital Conference in Austin.  As you can tell, I am one proud Principal.

This is the last week of the second six weeks.  Students need to make sure that they are caught up in all classes.  Report cards will go out next week.

Please make every effort to attend our College and Career Night on Thursday of this week.  We have over 20 colleges and universities, 4 branches of the military, and many businesses here for you to visit.  There will be two mobile sites and our college center open for you to actually use our computer systems for research or applications.  We will also provide you a free supper that night.  It is a great opportunity to talk with colleges without having to leave Clifton.  This will be held from 6 pm - 8 pm on Thursday.  You do not have to have a student in school to attend, it is here for anyone wanting to come and visit.
